Sometimes life turns things upside down. Sometime it’s a consequence of our own doing, most of the time it’s purely coincidental. Either way it can be jarring trying to adapt to unpleasant situation, to the feeling things are out of natural order and balance to the feeling of overwhelming pain, fear and discomfort. What is the solution? Pause, calm yourself down, deep breath and dig your heels deep into the space you found yourself in. Once you dig your feet, you will stop spinning out of control, breath and pause and stillness in the moment of discomfort will help you gain your control back and help you see the way out of if more clearly. You got this. You may still end up with few scratches and bruises but it won’t break your back nor your spirit. Remember this. This picture is visual representation of what happens in life, at one point it sounded as a good idea until I got to the point of no return. Managed to get out of it safely with my back completely scratched, but the experience of calmness in the middle of it was worth it! Managed to get into meditative space while in superbly dangerous and uncomfortable position. That helped me stay composed and showed me the way to get out of it. Realised I had bruises and scratches only hours later!! We are much more capable to what we give ourselves credit for and that has nothing to do with arrogance. Arrogance is in advance boosting about your capability. Fitness is all about patience. Swipe left for me back in March/beginning of April⬅️ I’m not where I want to be but shoot I’m proud of these 4-5 months progress😨 back in March I was going through so much and lost both muscle and fat and was at about 18% BF (which is a good BF level) and 131 pounds but in an unhealthy way with less muscle mass. My usual weight was about 138 but I decided to switch up my training and my way of eating starting around April and boom here we are now! I’ve been lifting, focusing on my glutes (something that doesn’t come naturally for me) & feeding my body to grow them muscles! I really think life is about the way we react to things so I decided I wanted to do something about my life in general and fitness wise as well! I’m currently at about 147/148 pounds. Back when I started fitness I was actually at about 143 pounds with less muscle and more fat, so yes I have more weight on me but for the right reason that I’m at the highest muscle mass level (gained 7lbs of muscle) I’ve ever been at, yes some added rolls came in but I’m just really focused on building muscle these next few months and seeing where I go from here! Being patient and consistent is something I’ve come to learn and understand, results do not come from one day to another! Tired of your usual grilled cheese sanswiches? Then try this post-workout “Roasted Tomato Basil Grilled cheese Sandwich”. * Preheat the oven to 400°F. * Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the tomatoes on the sheet. Roast for 15 minutes until the tomatoes are starting to burst. * Place the tomatoes in a bowl and carefully mash with a potato masher to extract the juice. Strain the tomatoes completely and reserve the juice in a small bowl. Mix 1 tablespoon of the juice into ¼ cup mayonnaise until it has the consistency of a sauce (double the tomato juice and mayonnaise for extra sauce). Reserve the strained tomatoes and sprinkle them with kosher salt. * Spread each slice of bread with tomato mayo. Top with 1/4 of the strained tomatoes, shredded mozzarella, and some torn pieces of basil. Sprinkle the toppings with a pinch of kosher salt and top with another slice of bread. * Heat a grill pan to medium high and brush it with butter. Cook the sandwiches until toasty and the cheese is melted, about 3 minutes per side. Don’t like Turkey for Thanksgiving? Than give this Lemon Garlic Parmesan Shrimp Pasta a try: INGREDIENTS: 8 ounces Linguine Pasta 2 Tablespoons olive oil 6 Tablespoons butter 4 cloves garlic, minced 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes 1¼ pound large shrimp salt and pepper to taste 1 teaspoon italian seasoning 4 cups baby spinach ½ cup parmesan cheese 2 Tablespoons parsley, chopped 1 Tablespoon lemon juice INSTRUCTIONS: In a large pot cook the pasta in boiling water according to package directions. Drain and set aside. Using the same pan, heat olive oil and 2 Tablespoons of butter. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes and cook until fragrant. Add the shrimp and salt and pepper to taste. Cook until the shrimp start to turn pink. Add italian seasoning and spinach and cook until wilted. Add the pasta back to the pot with the remaining butter, parmesan, and parsley. Still until mixed and butter is melted. Cravying bread? Then try this low carb Dark Rye Bread. Serves:1 loaf -Ingredients 1 cup blanched almond flour (not almond meal) ¾ cup brown flaxmeal ½ teaspoon celtic sea salt ½ teaspoon baking soda ¾ teaspoon cream of tartar 3 large eggs 2 tablespoons olive oil ¼ cup water 2 tablespoons caraway seeds -Instructions In a large bowl combine almond flour, flax, salt, baking soda, and cream of tartar. In a small bowl combine eggs, oil, and water. Stir wet ingredients into dry, then mix in caraway seeds. Allow batter to sit for 2 minutes to thicken. Transfer batter into a greased 7.5 x 3.5 inch magic line loaf pan or 7.5 x 3.75 inch fox run pan. Bake at 350°F for 35-45 minutes. Cool 1 hour. Serve. To store this bread, wrap in a paper towel, seal in a plastic bag, and refrigerate for up to 1 week.
