Cannibal drinks!! Just finished watching Hannibal!!
(Rant) So Everytime there’s someone mixed in the Media, everyone always just lumps her into one group. ‘Oh! Black excellence!!’ Despite her mom being white. This has happened all throughout history. Cleopatra is genetically Macedonian and black. Mixed. And the moment I mention that, people are either like ‘no!! She’s black. She’s Egyptian!!’ Or ‘no!! She’s white!!’. I’m sick of not having representation. I’m sick of it being taken from me. I shouldn’t start panicking when someone asks me my race because every time Ive said that I’m mixed, I immediately get told that I don’t look like it. Kindergarten. The teacher was teaching us sorting by having us get into different groups depending on our race. I said I was mixed and she had me sit out. 4th grade. Some girls found out I was mixed and kept pulling my hair because I wore it down natural and they didn’t believe that it was real hair; teachers always looked away. I wore my hair up until 9th grade. 7th grade. I was asked if I was the product of rape because my mom is white and my dads black. It’s always “but you’re mixed so you don’t count” when they say a racist joke but I still feel the blow. And I’m hearing the racist comments from all sides. My mom is white, my dad is black, and my brothers side of the family is Hispanic. I grew up with them as my family (minus dad) but i never talk about them because it always leads to racist jokes. People think they’re funny when they say “but you’re not grey” but after the hundredth time you just want to cry because you’re always either a joke or exotic. I’m sorry for my rant being wordy, but it’s a huge problem that no one talks about#sketching #sketchbook #cool #awesome #nightsbreak #aesthetic #artist #cute #feisty #threemarkerchallenge #brain #girl #aesthetics #bright #inspirational #cute #sketch #artsy #creative #art #contrast #soft #soda #color #eye #eyeball #art #cannibal #classy #martini
