Finally completed this work today after a long process of putting it down and coming back to it. I’m feeling pleased with the outcome, heart-broken at the inspiration, and grateful to have art in my life. I’ll be making prints soon 💕
Day two! Free hand drawing using the principles I learned yesterday about drawing the human face. Plus a bit of a study on the mechanics of hair. Turns out a paper stump is an excellent tool to use when shading a smooth surface, such as a face.

Day one! Drawing the human face became simpler once I learned how to use general proportions to get the basic features.
Used tutorial "How to draw faces" from RapidFireArt and gave my own spin to the final product. Completed 9-14-19.
