💪SWIPE & SAVE this UPPER BODY workout💪 • I used minimal equipment to complete this workout. You will need: a pair of 5-10lb weight plates and a straight barbell. • 1️⃣ High Lateral Raises- These are just like standard lateral raises. Start with your elbows bent slightly. Slowly raise the weight up to shoulder height, exhale as you lower the weight down. *What I do that makes this exercise more compound is raise my arms slightly higher than shoulder height. Once you arrive at shoulder height, raise your arms just a little bit higher. This extra raise engages your traps more than a standard lateral raise 👍. • 2️⃣ Bent Over Front Raises- Bend over holding the weight in either hand. Slowly raise the weight up in front of you. Hold briefly, exhale and descend. • 3️⃣ Lying Supermans- Lay down and your barbell (very light- no more than 10lbs) extended in front of you. Using your entire posterior chain (glutes, hamstrings, back, shoulders, and also your abdominals), slowly lift yourself up so that you’re briefly balancing on your pelvis. Hold 1-2 seconds, return to starting position. • 4️⃣ Barbell Lateral Raises- These are just like exercise one, but with a barbell. I use a barbell sometimes because I like the variation. There’s no particular reason I’m kneeling. • 5️⃣ Bent Over Barbell Rows- Good ol’ fashioned rows! Hinge at your waist to bend over to a little wider than 90 degrees. Using either an overhand or underhand trip (both work different parts of the back), grip the barbell and draw it in to your belly button. Clench your shoulder blades together. If you are a beginner you should ideally stick to the main compound movements and focus on getting stronger on them. - They will recruit the most muscle fibres in the shortest amount of time. They will also require more energy than isolation movements and will also aid fat loss (especially with high rep deadlifts and squats). WORKOUTS BEFORE: Fuel Up! Not fueling up before you work out is like driving a car on empty. You won’t have enough energy to maximize your workout and you limit your ability to burn calories. Ideally, fuel up 2 hours before you exercise by: 💧Hydrating with water. 🍞Eating healthy carbohydrates such as whole-grain cereals (with low-fat or skim milk), whole-wheat toast, low-fat or fat-free yogurt, whole grain pasta, brown rice, fruits and vegetables. 🚫🍔Avoiding saturated fats and even a lot of healthy protein — because these types of fuels digest slower in your stomach and take away oxygen and energy-delivering blood from your muscles. 🍎🍌If you only have 5-10 minutes before you exercise, eat a piece of fruit such as an apple or banana. The key is to consume easily digested carbohydrates, so you don’t feel sluggish. DURING: Keep your body hydrated with small, frequent sips of water.💧 You don’t need to eat during a workout that’s an hour or less. But, for longer, high-intensity vigorous workouts, I would recommend eating 50-100 calories every half hour of carbohydrates such as low-fat yogurt, raisins, or banana.🍌 AFTER: Refuel Your Tank. Fluids. Drink water, of course. Blend your water with 100% juice such as orange juice which provides fluids, carbohydrates. Carbohydrates. You burn a lot of carbohydrates — the main fuel for your muscles — when you exercise. In the 20-60 minutes after your workout, your muscles can store carbohydrates and protein as energy and help in recovery. 🍗Protein. Eat things with protein to help repair and grow your muscles. These are general guidelines. We have different digestive systems and a lot depends on what kind of workout you’re doing as well. So do what works best for you. Met with a second doctor office today for VSG.. Looks like I’ll be having surgery in January if everything goes smooth. It’s been a long, exhausting process. I’ve been going to appointments since April😅 The surgeon just wants to see my weight going down since I’ve gained a few pounds here and there😒 Lets hope and pray I get it in January🤞🏽

Vergleicht man eine 30 Minuten HIIT Einheit mit einer 30 Minuten LISS Cardio Session, dann verbrennt die HIIT Einheit durch den größeren Nachbrenneffekt (EPOC) ein paar Kalorien mehr.⁠ .⁠ Dafür ist die HIIT Einheit eine große Belastung für den Körper und hat somit negative Auswirkungen auf die Regeneration, während die Cardio Einheit sogar förderlich für die Regeneration ist.⁠ .⁠ Es gibt nicht die eine ultimative Cardio Methode, deshalb ist es wichtig, dass man auf die eigene individuelle Situation schaut und dann entscheidet, welche Methode mehr Sinn macht.⁠ .⁠ Unserer Meinung nach ist LISS Cardio in den meisten Fällen sinnvoller, da sich HIIT sehr negativ auf die Regeneration auswirken und zusätzlich zum Krafttraining ein großer Stress für den Körper sein kann - besonders in der Diät. ⁠ .⁠ Seid ihr eher Team HIIIT oder Team LISS?
