If you enjoy wine it’s important to know that some wines actually contain dangerous inflammation causing additives. I was really bummed to learn that sugar is added to wine at all price points as a way to create consistency. Sugar is one of the leading causes of inflammation in the Standard American Diet. Inflammation is linked to every single lifestyle disease that none of us ever wants to get. Heart disease, cancer, diabetes, neurological diseases, obesity and more. Some fluffy sunflower butter pancakes for a sad & rainy Tuesday morning🌧 I’ve tried a lot of protein pancake recipes & this is the one I’ve always stuck with. They come out light & fluffy and I add whatever berries, nut butters, and toppings I have in the pantry. Kept it simple with these but sunflower seed butter is my faaaavorite at the moment, if ya haven’t tried it yet WYD??? 🌻 Recipe – I mix 45g @kodiakcakes  with 30g protein powder (I use vega vanilla), mix in 1 egg, cinnamon, & almond milk until the batter is smooth but still thick. THE TRICK to getting a good brown on your pancakes is to put the batter into a HOT pan, so heat your pan ahead of time, pour batter, and flip when it starts to bubble & there ya go 🥞🥞🥞

Being ultra nerdy this morning and listening to a podcast about supplements ☺️ ——————————————————— Nutritional therapy has recently become very interesting to me and I love learning more. Through my stomach issues years ago and even more so when we started trying to get pregnant, I became very aware what I was putting into my body. I really tried not to take pain relievers unless I absolutely had to (mainly for headaches). I used to get headaches pretty frequently and I knew if I didn’t take something for it, it would turn into a migraine and I would get nauseous and my day would be done. As I’m writing this, I realized that it’s been a long time since I’ve gotten a headache! Also with food, I try to eat more paleo and less processed; I still eat processed bc it’s really hard not to, but I try to eat MORE natural foods. ——————————————————— I’ve never really been interested in supplements but after doing some research and learning from @emilyschromm , they may be the answer to some things I’ve just figured I’d have to deal with forever. Just starting out, but I’ll share as I learn!

Whipped up a batch of the DREAMIEST vegan and gluten free cupcakes for a birthday party yesterday! Showing people eating gf and/or dairy free can still be delicious honestly makes me so happy, I promise if you didn't tell anyone these were gf/vegan they would never know 😉🤤. . . . Recipe is by @foodwithfeeling , search "easy vegan chocolate cupcakes" on her page for the deets! I used @bobsredmill  1-to-1 gf baking flour to make it gf and it turned out perfectly. Topped it with her recommend vegan buttercream frosting made with @miyokoscreamery  vegan butter (bit of a splurge but worth it!). . . . Overall I LOVED the texture and rich flavor of the cake base, the almond extract added a unique depth of flavor so don't skip on that! ⁣ ⁣I know you see a lot of Tuesday Transformations today but I like having Tuesday Truths....today's truth is somewhat of a transformation for me. I have fallen pray to the Instagram comparison trap. I follow so many women who are coaches and clients of the FASTer Way. When I was a client I totally compared my macros to other ladies in my group - SO WRONG! ❌ Every body is different and we all have different stats and goals. If I saw other women lifting xx lbs for an exercise, I would think I'm a failure because I wasn't lifting as heavy. When other ladies were having crazy results after just a few weeks and my results were slower, I felt like I was doing something wrong. ⁣ ⁣ I was comparing myself to others for EVERYTHING and that's a recipe for disaster! I was thankful when I watched a story by Amanda Tress and she talked about comparison and how we should only be worried about challenging ourselves vs comparing ourselves to others. ⁣ ⁣ I got really solid results after my first round. I lost inches and lbs and I fit into clothes that I haven't fit into for over 2 years! I have Hypothyroidism and Hashimoto's and I do have an uphill battle. The fact that I lost inches, got stronger and actually see budding muscles is awesome!!! I didn't lose as much as other clients but I learned in time that I need to only compare ME to ME!!! If I was using a 15lb for bicep curls, I now see if I can do 20lbs. If I can then 👍🏽 BUT if I can only do 1 of 3 sets using a heavier weight that's still progress! 🙌🏼⁣ ⁣ This mental transformation did not happen overnight....the truth is that sometimes I get sucked back in BUT I have to give myself a pep talk that I'm shedding inches and gaining lean muscle and getting stronger by eating more than I have ever eaten in my life and actually doing workouts I enjoy vs dread. And I’m so glad I decided to make these because they are DE-licious 😍 I recently bought some GF sprouted brown rice cereal & thought “why not make some rice crispy treats?” 👏🏼 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Deets👇🏼 ▫️1 1/2 cup GF Brown Rice Crisps (@onedegreeorganics ) ▫️1/2 cup Almond Butter (@wholefoods ) ▫️1/4 cup Honey (@wholefoods ) ▫️1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract ▫️1/4 cup Dark Chocolate Chunks (@wholefoods ) ▫️1 tbsp Coconut Oil (@vitacoco ) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ How To❓ ▫️In a microwave safe bowl, add in your almond butter, honey, & vanilla Extract. 🍳 Pesto Potato Breakfast Skillet ⏲ Under 20 mins | Serves 2 I love the weekends because I get to make some bomb 🍑 breakfast meals 😋 Definitely gotta say breakfast is my favorite meal of the day 👌🏼 Gotta start your day off strong with a scrumptious meal & this one certainly hits the spot 🤤 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Deets👇🏼 Spicy Jicama Fries: ▫️2-3 small Sweet Potatoes, half moon slices ▫️1/2 small Onion, sliced ▫️3 cloves Garlic, minced ▫️1/3 cup Pesto Sauce {deets below} ▫️2 Pasture Raised Eggs (@vitalfarms ) ▫️Microgreens ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Cilantro-Parsley Pesto Sauce: ▫️1/2 bunch Fresh Cilantro ▫️1/2 bunch Fresh Parsley ▫️3 cloves Garlic ▫️1/2 Lemon, juiced ▫️1/3 cup EVOO (@heb ) ▫️1/4 cup Walnuts (@natureseats ) ▫️2 tsp Nutritional Yeast (@bobsredmill ) ▫️Black Pepper & Pink Himalayan Salt ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ How To❓ ▫️Prep your veggies. For your sweet potatoes, add the slices to a bowl with a few splashes of water & heat for a min. This will help soften them up & cook faster. ▫️For your pesto sauce, add all the ingredients & blend in a food processor. ▫️In a skillet, add some EVOO & then add in your onion & garlic. Sauté until caramelized. ▫️Then add in your sweet potato & pesto. Sauté together for 2-3 mins. ▫️Create a big hole in the center & crack in your two eggs. Cover with a lid & cook until the egg whites have set. ▫️Serve with some fresh microgreens!
