So I used to be one of those people that only believed in going to the gym. I would go to the gym, walk around and get on some machines, break a little bit of a sweat and then call it a day. I would convince myself that I had accomplished something great. The truth was that I had no idea what I was doing.
I have tried regular gym memberships, I have tried personal trainers, I have tried group workouts, I have tried fitness “boutiques” (wtf does that even mean? Don’t know but I did it). None of those things worked. I would get frustrated because getting to the gym was a drive, finding parking was another mission. Once inside, finding machines that were available was like standing in line at the mall. When I did get to the machines, I didn’t really know what I was doing. I didn’t even have a schedule or a plan on what I was going to be doing.
When I did have a personal trainer, I didn’t really feel engaged with him/her because they weren’t relatable to me. I couldn’t connect. Plus, I would have access to him/her for a few hours a week at a very expensive rate in ADDITION to my gym fees. Group workouts in fitness “boutiques” gave me momentum for a little while but after having to drive somewhere at 4 am for a few weeks, that momentum would burn out.
So for a while, I tried doing things I would find online for free and print them and try them at home. Again, I was following a piece of paper that couldn’t show me how to do the moves, thus risking injury.
Then I found my thing! Home Workouts. I used to be a skeptic just like many of you. I didn’t believe that home workouts would help me. OMG was I wrong. I am in the best shape I have EVER been in my entire life. I look and feel so much better now than I did even in my 20’s.
I no longer have to drive anywhere to get to my gym, it’s literally steps away from my bedroom door. I only need the most minimal space and equipment. My trainer is with me 24/7 wherever I go, whenever I want. I even get a nutrition plan to help me with getting my eating habits on track! I have built myself up in the comfort of my own home after my back injury. I mean, it just can’t get any better than this! AND all for a fraction of what I
