Totally just dawned on me that I’ll be in Florida for vacation in 5 weeks... and coincidentally that’s been about how long it’s been since I’ve been consistent with my workouts 😬🙈 ____________ Guess it’s time to buckle down and re-prioritize my health. 💪🏼. ____________ Not planning anything crazy (bc seriously who wants to give up carbs 🥖❤️). But planning to clean up the junk (darn you frosted animal cookies!) and limit the non-essentials (only two adult beverages a week). ____________ For workouts- I’m going to actually do the BBG circuits (lately I’ve been notorious for just finishing the first 7 minutes and then watching TV with Lilly the remaining 21 minutes 🤣), and sticking with 3 cardio sessions a week (30-40 minutes of inclined walking). ____________ And let’s be honest - it’s 5 weeks. I’m not going to “transform” my body in that time frame, BUT I will get my mind back on track to thinking, eating and feeling positive. Which is bikini ready in my book 👙 ____________ What do you do to “prep” for vacation?

🔥Progressive overload🔥 You probably keep hearing progressive overload everywhere to build your muscle and strength. But what does it actually mean? Progressive overload is the gradual increase of stress placed upon the body during exercise training. It works your muscles harder than what they’re used to, it means you gradually increase in volume, intensity, frequency or time. For example, each set you would increase the weight, even by 2.5kg! Or you would increase the frequency, so you could perform squats more frequently. I love progressive overload in my training, especially as I want to build more muscle! Spending the week in Mexico. 🧡 I love coming here in October. Last Saturday I became 3rd time in row Irish National Champion which I'm really glad for it. How I did it ? The answer is simple. I prepare my self like it was my first competition. Leaving nothing behind.... working daily on my physique no matter what. Sleeping like 2-3h a day not becouse of insomnia or other things...its becouse I was too busy and I'm still too busy......working like slave 12h a day...taking overtime after overtime... some weeks I worked 6-7 days in row just to cover all my bills and competition trips....people asking me how I can do this? My becouse I love to do it💪❤....and when I get my free days I was doing 2 workout session a day and cooking for another working days and other house stuff which need to be done👌....plus I'm doing my own project which is taking lots of time too. Over 99% of calcium is stored in our teeth and bones, making it the most prominent mineral in our body. It also plays a role in heart health, muscle function and nerve signaling. It is not produced by the body, hence it becomes important to consume calcium through supplements and diet. Most of us depend on milk and other dairy sources for calcium, however this does not help us meet our daily intake. 1.Calcium helps build and maintain strong bones. In the blood stream it is used to send nerve signals, release hormones like insulin and regulate muscle/blood vessel contraction and dilation. 2.If we do not fulfill our daily calcium requirements, our body uses calcium from our existing skeleton there by weakening our bones. This is what results in osteoporosis. 3.Women, after menopause, lose bone mass due to decline in estrogen. Maintaining daily calcium intake helps keep the bone mass intact. 4.Many of us may not know this, but we need enough vitamin D in our body to absorb calcium. This means, you won't benefit from a calcium supplement if you are low on vitamin D. 5.Hypocalcemia, also known as calcium deficiency occurs when one's calcium intake has been poor over a period of time. This in turn not just leads to weakened bones or brittle nails but also affects brain signaling and could result in memory loss, muscle spasms, easy injuries etc. Our daily intake of calcium ranges between 1200-1500mg per day. Do your triceps look like Twizzlers? Are you tired of being able to easily take off your shirt without it getting stuck on your arms? 😭 Add this routine to your push workouts and you'll soon have massive steaks attached to the back of your arms 💪 Triceps make up over 2/3 of your arms, so stop hammering your biceps and focus on them tris for some massive arm gains. As the name implies, triceps are made up of three heads. You want to have a variety of exercises with different angles and functions to properly stimulate your tricep for that overall development. ⤵️ 1) Close Grip Bench Press (4x8) - this compound movement should be the first exercise you start off with. Grab the bar with a narrower grip than your usual bench (about shoulder width). Lower the bar to your chest with your elbows tucked in - your arms should be brushing up on your lats, then press up. The weight used will be lower than your bench press weight, but don't be afraid to progressively overload. 2) Tricep Rope Pushdowns (3x12) - grab a rope attachment (I used 2 ropes for extra range of motion and a filthy pump) and push down - spreading your arms apart at the bottom. Maintain a slight forward lean and also let your arms come up above 90 degrees for full range. 3) Ez Bar Skull Crushers (3x10) - this should be done near the end of your workout so you don't use a crazy amount of weight to feel your triceps working, because you will shred your elbows in the process. Grab the bar at shoulder width, tuck your elbows in and lower it to your forehead. Keep your upper arms perpendicular to the floor and press the weight up without moving your upper arms. Use moderate/lighter weights. 4) Diamond Pushups (2 x failure) - do these at the end after all the other exercises above. You'll be struggling to even get a proper rep done. I use this exercise to burn out my triceps till nothing's left 😁 Place your hands on the floor creating a triangle with your index and thumb. Have your elbows close to your body and lower yourself to the ground, then press up. Repeat until you faceplant. Enjoy not being able to straighten your arms for the next 2 days. 😉 Follow me for more workouts/tips! ✌️

Want to know the secret to getting lean? Prioritize your RECOVERY. When I first started out I always thought the workout I was doing or how sore I was determined how I would progress. I was wrong. The reality though is that your body is actually breaking down during and after your workout. I was told, I was basically not really into fitness because I don’t spend time researching supplements taking supplements, doing supplements to compliment other supplements and so on..... here’s a tip. If you have knowledge about something specific, don’t use it against people. I am always open to gaining from shared advice, and no amount of my own knowledge will prevent that. But I think it’s important to remember most of us crawl before we walk and non of us are required to be great at running. Don’t take your strength for granted. Also I wouldn’t expect everyone in fitness to love having super thick legs, but i love it. (Dimples and all)It’s not a one size fits all world. What's for dinner? It's not always bowls or salad or chicken. Sometimes it's good old In-n-Out 🤤🍔🍟👌🏼 Since this meals really blows through the roof in terms of calories, I actually tailor my day around this meal. That means, I make sure to get all my fruit and veggie servings in during the day, keep away from high fat foods, keep my overall calorie count lower than normal and make sure to have a work out session before indulging in this meal. Now this strategy won't completely offset the excess calorie intake but it can minimize the 'damage'. The way I track and plan out my calorie intake for the day is by using a tracking app. There are many options out there, like MyFitness Pal, or NutritioniX (which has a barcode scanner that's convenient). But I use Samsung's S Health app which I've become very familiar with. Use whatever is easy for you and be mindful of what you put in your body. That doesnt mean you have to deprive yourself or cut foods out because that's just not a feasible and sustainable way to live long term. ⚪️ MONDAY MOTIVATION ⚪️ _ Je comprends plus que ce que vous ne pensez. Je sais à quel point il est difficile de s’activer quand on a un style de vie sédentaire et que faire du sport devient une corvée ultime. Je comprends la lutte qui survient lorsque vous buvez plus de soda que d’eau, ou mangez plus de fast food que de légumes, et que vous considérez « manger sainement » comme une restriction ou un régime à la mode. Je comprends le stress de sentir qu’il y a trop de chemin à parcourir quand un mode de vie plus sain semble un exploit insurmontable. ➡️ Ces choses sont difficiles ! _ Je comprends aussi profondément la vraie douleur émotionnelle qui découle du fait de regarder automatiquement votre corps négativement dans le miroir, de laisser un chiffre sur une balance, ou un vêtement qui ne vous va plus vous dire que vous avez perdue de la valeur. Je sais de la première main, la piqure aiguë de la comparaison constante et le sentiment que vous n’êtes « jamais assez ». ➡️ Ces choses sont les plus difficiles. _ Je sais à quel point la forme physique peut sembler décourageante, mais ce qui est intimidant pour moi à présent, c’est à quel point le monde ne comprends toujours pas ce que la condition physique EST, PEUT, et DEVRAIT être. Nous sommes si nombreux à être encore plongés dans ces mentalités toxiques dans lesquelles moi aussi j’ai vécue. N’Y RESTEZ PAS. ❌ _ La seule différence qui compte entre ces photos n’est pas VISUELLE, c’est l’estime de soi. Utiliser la forme physique comme principale objectif pour apprendre à s’aimer entraîne des transformations simultanées, physiques et mentales.
