For god knows how long i have had all kinds of issues with digestion, nausea, belly cramps and all that. The only exception were the times i was in india. when i am in india, i work perfectly. No pain, no nausea, no bloating - just a human body working like a human body should.
After i came back from india a month ago, i started having problems again. During last week, i completely lost my appetite and feeling extremely sick and nauseous after every meal i forced myself to eat.
Now i am slowly turning to look back to the foods i ate in india. And looking up the most basic herbs and spices used in indian cuisine, every single one of them is considered a medicinal herb for digestion issues. EVERY SINGLE ONE.
To add to that, what i have found out that many foods considered healthy or "superfood" do not work with my body at all. Raw food, uncooked veggies, nuts and seeds, many grains, acidic fruits etc - give me pain and trouble.
I tried my best to "eat healthy" but i kept having issues.
I think following any ready made guidelines about "healthy eating" are completely useless. We need to know what is good in OUR BODIES, not what someone else says is healthy.
What makes your body feel good, nourished, and working well is the most important thing.
For me - that is food that's well cooked. Soft vegetables, stews and soups with rice and lots of herbs.
(Ps. Also ditching beer and other alcohol for a while. The beer lover in me is crying a little bit. But i must be willing to do sacrifices in order to feel better again. 😶😶)
