You can judge yourself all you want, but it won’t change a thing. Judging yourself is not changing yourself.
I’ll introduce this concept as non-judgmental personal change.
Self-awareness without personal judgment.
You can be aware of what you’re not without condemning yourself for where you are.
Personal non-judgmental self-awareness will improve your life faster than judging yourself negatively.
Change is a product of learning and doing. Too many of us just learn and judge.
Non-judgmental personal change will take you from self-loathe to conscious self-love to transformational change.
Have you heard this fable?
Æsop. (Sixth century B.C.)
“The Wind and the Sun: THE WIND and the Sun were disputing which was the stronger. Suddenly they saw a traveller coming down the road, and the Sun said: “I see a way to decide our dispute. Whichever of us can cause that traveller to take off his cloak shall be regarded as the stronger You begin.” So the Sun retired behind a cloud, and the Wind began to blow as hard as it could upon the traveller. But the harder he blew the more closely did the traveller wrap his cloak round him, till at last the Wind had to give up in despair. Then the Sun came out and shone in all his glory upon the traveller, who soon found it too hot to walk with his cloak on. “KINDNESS EFFECTS MORE THAN SEVERITY.”’
And such is life in personal growth. You are the traveler, but you control the wind and the sun in your life. How will you remove your cloak? 💥 ‼️
Changing yourself is not judging yourself.
Changing yourself is consciously loving yourself into personal transformations.
Be kind to yourself.
