This week has really put things into perspective for me. Your health and well-being really does need to take top priority, always.
Being sick sucks. Being sick while pregnant is even worse as you can’t take anything for it. Being sick, pregnant and caring for a sick toddler TOTALLY SUCKS. I’m not looking for sympathy (ok, maybe a little 😆) but I am setting the scene to demonstrate how this epiphany came about! 🤧🤰🏽🧒🏽😩
The thought of going into labour and not feeling 💯 percent is not even something I want to entertain.
Then I remembered about this story I read in @fetemagazine about key reasons your energy may not be what it once was 💫
A timely reminder for me about the key ways to boost my energy, that I thought worth sharing with you...
No 1./ Get enough nutrients. The macro and micro nutrients found in whole, real food.
No 2./ Look after your liver. This isn’t just about alcohol, the liver cleanses our body of all toxins - processed food, air impurities and what we put on our skin too. So limit unnatural substances and increase intake of liver-living foods.
No 3./ Increase muscle tone. Muscles stabilise and protect the body and affects metabolic rate and energy production. From the age of 30 you have to actively build muscle tone.
No 4./ Reduce stress. All kinds - work, financial, relationships, even the pressure you put on yourself. Let it all go. The body interprets stressors of any kind, big or small, in the same way and releases hormones from the adrenal glands to manage. This has an exhausting effect on the body. So close all those mental ‘open tabs’ and don’t feel bad about doing it (they’re not going to get done anyway if you’re burnt out) and focus on your perceptions of the world around you. Consciously shifting your perspective can have a great impact on your energy levels.
I can share the full story by @drlibby for anyone who is interested, otherwise I hope this little summary helps you get a nice energy boost 🌟☺️
