📍Zermatt, Switzerland: The view from our hotel room. A not-so-funny-yet-still-funny-looking-back-at-it-now story: the night we were supposed to arrive...EVERYTHING went wrong. I couldn’t find the keys to my luggage (which I found wayyy later deeply hidden in my backpack 🙄) from the last hotel we were at. We missed our train and had to wait another hour for the next one. Apparently, a music festival or concert just ended around that time while we were on the final train...so imagine a bunch of young, loud, drunk assholes making a lot of noise while I was exhausted AF and sleepy. I was pissed lol and this girl would not stop singing (beautiful voice, but I was trying to sleep so I wanted to strangle her🤬👊🏼😂). It’s already late by the time we get to the hotel and we were lost. I stayed with all of the luggage while my travel group went to find the hotel. Once they found it, we had to hike upwards and our room was on the 5th floor! Oh! Did I mention there were no elevators?! So I had to basically carry 70 lbs ten minutes of hiking then up 5 flights of stairs while already exhausted and sleepy 😁👍🏼. We didn’t go to bed until 3:00 AM. I’d like to thank my cousin @irawwr for helping me out when she could hahahahhaahhahahahahahahahahababahahhababHshzjwkbsXoie. I can laugh about it now, but damn during the time I’ve never been more over it 🤣. I’m happy to say that the view and the actual hotel room was worth it. It was our biggest one with all the amenities. I decided to skip the next morning activities. Instead, I got breakfast and ate at a local cafe. Bought an extra coffee so I can sip it while looking at our view. Then I took a glorious relaxing bath until I was a prune. Then met up with my travel group to see the Matterhorn. Everything went wrong and yet everything was worth it in the end. No matter how awful your day is, you can always turn it around 😊.
